Starting the Quest at Umbraan Shrine

To trigger the quest, head to the Umbraan Shrine in Belya. Once you arrive at the shrine, look for a circular area where you’ll discover a book. Read this book to update your quest and begin your search for the first journal.

Finding the First Journal

After reading the initial book, your map will mark the location of the next journal. Explore the area around the Umbraan Shrine to locate it. As you approach the marked location, you’ll find the next note or journal.

When you reach the journal, press the interaction key (F) and select “Open” to retrieve the Soldiers Log Number Two. Your quest will automatically update, directing you to find and read the next journal.

Reading the Multi-Page Journal

The next journal you encounter contains multiple pages. You must read through all pages sequentially—from page one to page two—for the quest to properly update. Make sure to read each page completely before closing the journal.

Traveling to Metana Groove

Once the journal is fully read, your next destination is Metana Groove. Use your stables or fast travel system to reach this location quickly rather than walking.

Locating the Metana Groove Journal

Upon arriving in Metana Groove, explore the area to find the journal. The journal is located in front of the waterfall in this zone. Press F to interact with it and read through all pages of the log book. Once you’ve completed reading, close the journal and your quest will update with the next objective.

Finding the Lipwoods Journal

The next phase of the quest takes you to the Lipwoods area. Head east of the Lipwoods—you may need to discover the stables in this region first if you haven’t already. Once you locate the Lipwoods, climb the initial path, then climb once more to reach higher ground. Here you’ll find another journal containing the same type of log. Interact with it and read all its contents.

Locating the Hidden Stash

After collecting all the logs from the journals, your final objective is to find the hidden stash. This location is marked on your map and is positioned on the very east side of the map. Navigate to this eastern area and search for the hidden stash.
