How to Get All Pokemon in Wild Zone 1 – Pokemon Legends Z-A

This guide will walk you through finding every Pokémon available in Wild Zone 1 of Pokémon Legends Z-A, including the two secret missing ones. We’ll cover each location with detailed instructions on where to find them and how to catch them safely.

Finding Pokémon in Wild Zone 1

Fletchling

When you first enter Wild Zone 1 from Hotel Z’s way, look for a Fletchling near the cars in that area. This is one of the easier encounters to spot at the entrance.

Scatterbugs

Scatterbugs are scattered throughout the main park area and are very common, making them simple to locate and catch.

Bunnelbees

You’ll find Bunnelbees in the main park area as well, positioned in front of you as you explore. Like Scatterbugs, they’re plentiful and easy to find.

Mareep

Head to the other end of the zone, going toward the exit that leads to the Pokémon Research Lab. You’ll consistently find two Mareep in this location.

Weedle

Weedle is located near the toilets in Wild Zone 1. Look for the toilet structure, and you’ll find Weedle right beside it. This should be straightforward to locate.

Catching Pidgey and Pecharunt (Secret Pokémon)

Finding Pidgey

Head to the gates that lead to the Research Centre. Break through the gates using a Mareep’s smash attack (a separate video guide covers this technique). Once through, climb the ladder ahead of you. Move forward and you’ll automatically climb onto the roof. Pidgey will be waiting for you there.

Recommended Strategy for Catching Pidgey

We recommend using Mareep with Thunder Shock, as this move is super effective against Pidgey. This gives you a better chance of catching it quickly.

Stealth Approach for Pidgey

Once you catch your first Pidgey, jump down from the roof. Press your left controller button to crouch, then put your Mareep away. Enter crouch mode and move into the long grass. This stealth approach is crucial—if Pidgey spots you or you attack it, the Pokémon will become startled and disappear.

Locking On and Catching

While crouching in the long grass, lock on to Pidgey. Wait until it turns away from you—you’ll see the tracking indicator change from two arrows to four arrows when Pidgey isn’t looking your direction. This indicates the perfect moment to throw your Pokéball for a high catch rate.

Respawn Timer

If Pidgey spots you or your Pokéball throw fails, don’t worry. Another Pidgey will reappear in 30 seconds. Simply wait in the long grass while crouching, and you’ll get another opportunity. Repeat the locking-on process, ensure it’s facing away from you (four stars showing), and throw your Pokéball again.

Summary

You now have a complete guide to catching all Pokémon in Wild Zone 1 of Pokémon Legends Z-A. The common Pokémon like Fletchling, Scatterbugs, Bunnelbees, Mareep, and Weedle are straightforward finds in their respective locations. The trickier encounters—Pidgey and Pecharunt—require stealth and patience, but by following the crouch technique and timing your Pokéball throws when they turn away, you’ll successfully capture them all. Remember to use type advantage with moves like Mareep’s Thunder Shock for the best results.
