How To Use Informants In Prison Architect

Informants are a valuable intelligence tool in Prison Architect that can help you uncover hidden threats within your prison. Once you’ve successfully recruited an Informant, the next step is learning how to activate and use them effectively. This guide will walk you through the process of accessing and utilizing your Informants to gather critical information about tunnels and contraband.

Accessing Your Informants

To begin using an Informant, navigate to the Intelligence panel located on the bottom left of your screen.

Click on the Informants option within the Intelligence menu. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see a list of your idle Informants available for activation.

Activating Your Informant

Select the Informant you wish to use. In this example, we’ll activate Nicholas.

Once you’ve selected your Informant, click on the Status option and then select Activate. After activation, the system will dispatch guards to escort the Informant inside the Security Room.

Gathering Intelligence

Once your Informant is inside the Security Room, they will begin providing you with valuable information. Informants typically reveal important details about tunnels and contraband hidden within your prison.

Simply wait for the Informant to complete their intelligence gathering. Once finished, they will be released from the Security Room.
