Memory Magnification Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

This comprehensive guide walks you through the Memory Magnification quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Starting the Quest with Mickey

Begin the Memory Magnification quest by talking to Mickey. He explains that according to Merlin, Minnie’s bow contains enough memory to bring her back. However, to prevent her from disappearing again, Merlin has invented a Dreamlight Magnifier that you’ll need to build.

Gathering Required Materials

To craft the Dreamlight Magnifier, you’ll need to collect the following materials:

Minnie’s Bow (provided by Minnie)

Hardwood (2 required)

Emerald (quantity needed)

Tinkering Parts (6 required)

Finding Hardwood

Locate hardwood by visiting the Sunlit Plateau. Simply pick up any wood pieces you find scattered throughout the biome. You’ll need 2 hardwood total for the magnifier.

Mining Emerald

Emeralds can be mined from rocks in two locations: the Glade of Trust and the Forest of Valor. When you mine a rock, you may receive multiple items at once. For example, a single rock can yield 2 emeralds, 3-4 fire tree materials, and an onyx. The gem may appear as you’re actively mining, so continue mining even if you don’t immediately see green gems.

Crafting Tinkering Parts

Tinkering parts are created at a crafting table (this guide uses the one at Goofy’s house). Each tinkering part requires iron ingots. To break down the resource requirements:

1 Iron Ingot = 5 Iron Ore + 1 Coal

2 Iron Ingots = 3 Tinkering Parts (not a 1:1 ratio)

For 6 Tinkering Parts, you only need to make 4 Iron Ingots

Total Iron Ore needed: 20 Iron Ore + 4 Coal

Mine rocks in the Glade of Trust or Forest of Valor to gather iron ore and coal for your iron ingots.

Crafting the Dreamlight Magnifier

Once you’ve gathered all materials, head to your crafting table and navigate to Functional Items. Select the Dreamlight Magnifier recipe and craft it using:

Minnie’s Bow

Tinkering Parts (6)

Emerald

Hardwood (2)

Testing the Magnifier

After crafting, return to Mickey to test the magnifier. He’ll suggest you find Minnie in the village. Locate her and speak with her—she’ll confirm the magnifier is working and no longer disappearing.

Unlocking Minnie’s House

Minnie will ask if you can help restore her house. Speak to Mickey again and return the Dreamlight Magnifier. Minnie’s house and a Duck Sign will automatically appear in your inventory as a quest reward.

Placing Minnie’s House

Choose an ideal location for Minnie’s house—it makes sense to place it next to Mickey’s house. You may need to move other decorations and items to make space. The blue Scrooge McDuck sign indicates the front of the house.

Unlocking the House

Use the Duck Sign to unlock Minnie’s house. This action costs 5,000 gold. Once unlocked, the house will appear in its designated spot.

Completing the Quest

Speak with Minnie to thank her for restoring her house. Finally, talk to Mickey one more time to complete the Memory Magnification quest.
