Welcome to this comprehensive guide for the Miracles Take Time quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This is the first quest you’ll encounter with the Fairy Godmother, and it involves collecting purified night shards and exploring the mysterious DreamScape. Follow this step-by-step guide to complete the quest successfully.

Getting Started in the Forgotten Lands

Head to the Forgotten Lands to begin your adventure. Something has stirred in this mysterious location, and you’ll need to investigate. Make your way to the pumpkin in the area—this is where the Fairy Godmother has taken residence.

Enter the pumpkin and interact with the Fairy Godmother to trigger the quest.

Crafting Purified Night Shards

The Fairy Godmother will ask you to collect five purified night shards. The good news is that you can craft these yourself at any crafting bench. Head to your nearest crafting station—in this guide, we’re heading to the Peaceful Meadow where the crafting benches are located.

To craft purified night shards, you’ll need the following materials for each one:

1 Night Shard

1 Dream Shard

Craft five purified night shards in total to meet the Fairy Godmother’s requirements.

Returning to the Fairy Godmother

Once you’ve crafted all five purified night shards, return to the Fairy Godmother’s pumpkin in the Forgotten Lands and give her the items.

Exploring the DreamScape

After handing over the purified night shards, follow the Fairy Godmother outside of the pumpkin toward the DreamScape entrance. This entrance is located near a cave in the Forgotten Lands.

Speak with the Fairy Godmother at the entrance, and she will remove the illusion, revealing what appears to be a nightmare landscape beneath.

Collecting Memory Orbs

Enter the tree house to access the DreamScape. Once inside, talk to the Fairy Godmother again. You’ll now need to collect three memory orbs, each representing different emotions and qualities.

Locate and collect the following orbs:

Memory of Love

This is the first orb you’ll encounter in the DreamScape. Pick it up to add it to your inventory.

Memory of Courage

The second orb is blue in color. Collect this memory of courage.

Memory of Power

The final orb is yellow. This represents the memory of power.

Completing the Quest

After collecting all three memory orbs (love, courage, and power), return to the Fairy Godmother and speak with her once more. This interaction will complete the Miracles Take Time quest.

Important Content Warning

Be aware that the follow-up quest, “Forgotten Memories,” deals with difficult emotions and themes including sadness, loneliness, and anger. If you’re not in the right emotional space to engage with these themes, consider returning to your village and coming back to this quest when you feel ready to face them.
