Shadows and Bows Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

This is a complete walkthrough for the Shadows and Bows friendship quest with Mickey Mouse in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In this quest, you’ll help Mickey uncover memories of Minnie by using her enchanted bow as a memory magnet. Follow this guide to complete all the objectives and see what Merlin’s magic reveals.

Understanding the Quest Objective

Mickey explains that he briefly saw Minnie at a picnic and has been thinking about what happened. He reveals that Merlin has enchanted Minnie’s favourite bow, which acts as a memory magnet. Your task is to take the bow, talk to various villagers, and use it to bring forth memories of Minnie.

Step 1: Talk to Goofy on the Beach

Your first stop is to find Goofy, who is located on the beach. When you talk to him and ask if he misses Minnie, he’ll share his favourite memory. Goofy recalls the last time he and Minnie baked a pie together. He mentions that Minnie taught him how to mash the turnips and add plenty of sugar to save his pie.

Step 2: Talk to Scrooge McDuck

Next, you need to locate Scrooge McDuck on the map. When you find him, select the Shadows and Bows quest option and ask him about his favourite memory of Minnie. Scrooge will tell you that Minnie was always a great customer of his shop.

Step 3: Return to Mickey and Head to the Wishing Well

After gathering memories from Goofy and Scrooge, return to Mickey to update him on what you’ve learned. Mickey will explain that Merlin said you can activate a memory using Dream Light at the wishing well. He directs you to the wishing well located in the Town Square at the plaza, outside the Dream Castle.

Wait for Mickey to catch up as he moves slower than you. Once he arrives, you’ll be able to see Minnie’s memory appear at the wishing well.

Step 4: Interact with Minnie’s Memory

When you approach Minnie’s memory, try talking to her. She’ll respond saying, “Can you hear me? Oh no, I can’t see very well.” Mickey and Minnie will then have a brief conversation where Mickey reassures her that everything is okay.

After their chat, Minnie’s memory will unfortunately fade away. Mickey will comment that he thinks she’s gone, and that the bow may have run out of magic or memories. He says he needs to talk to Merlin about what to do next.

Quest Completion

You’ll return the bow to Mickey, and he’ll tell you that it’s nice to have the bow and that he’s going to keep it with him. This completes the Shadows and Bows friendship quest.
