Starting the Quest

Begin by talking to Mother Goffle to initiate the Shine a Light Quest.

Crafting Sunlit Torches

The first task is to craft three Sunlit Torches. Head to your crafting bench to begin the crafting process.

Required Materials

To craft three Sunlit Torches, you’ll need the following materials:

3 Garnets

3 Aquamarines

3 Citrines

Softwood

Forest Magic Sap (provided by Mother Goffle)

Where to Find Materials

Softwood: Found throughout most areas, available everywhere except Dazzle Beach.

Fiber: Crafted using seaweed.

Garnets: Located in the Peaceful Meadow and the Plaza by mining rocks.

Aquamarines: Available in Dazzle Beach and the Forest of Vala.

Citrines: Found in the Sunlit Plateau and the Grotto of Trust.

Forest Magic Sap: Mother Goffle provides this for you.

Confirming Your Crafts

Once you’ve gathered all materials and crafted the three Sunlit Torches, return to Mother Goffle to confirm you’ve completed this stage of the quest.

Placing Torches in the Mystical Cave

Next, you need to place the three Sunlit Torches at the bottom of the Mystical Cave, which is located on Dazzle Beach.

Locating the Cave

Travel to Dazzle Beach and find the cave entrance in the grassy area. Enter the cave and make your way to the very bottom level—the ground floor or basement level.

Placing the Torches

At the bottom of the cave, you’ll see three pedestals. Interact with each pedestal to place your three Sunlit Torches. Watch as the cave beautifully illuminates with your torches in place.

Photographing the Symbols

After placing all three torches, symbols will appear in the cave. Take a photograph of these symbols to complete this quest objective.

Completing the Quest

Exit the cave and return to Mother Goffle to turn in the quest. Speak with her once more to officially complete the Shine a Light Quest.
