This happens when you remove night fawns from the area—a memory will bounce out as a reward. Pick up the memory to obtain it.

Once you have the memory in your inventory, you can then proceed to talk to Wally about it.

Locating Wally

Before you can progress with the quest, you need to find Wally. If you’d prefer not to search the entire valley, there’s a helpful tip: open your map and deselect Wally, then immediately reselect him. This action will cause Wally to appear right outside his house, making it much easier to locate him.

Head to Wally’s house and speak with him about the memory you found.

Searching for Electrical Components

When you talk to Wally, he will ask you to search his house for electrical components. Look around his house carefully—you’ll find these components lying on the ground. One component is located next to the shelves. Pick up all the components you can find.

Once you’ve collected the electrical components from Wally’s house, return to Wally and give them to him. He will reward you with an old tape recorder.

Traveling to Disney Dreamlight Castle

After receiving the tape recorder, Wally will ask you to follow him. He’ll lead you out of his house and toward the front of Disney Dreamlight Castle. Meet him there and prepare for the next stage of the quest.

Exploring Wally’s Realm

At the castle, talk to Wally again. He will direct you to explore his realm. Wally’s realm is accessed through the leftmost door on the ground floor of the castle. Look for the door with a small leaf symbol on it—this is the entrance to Wally’s realm.

Enter the realm and search for more electrical components. You’ll need to dig up several holes in this area to find additional components. Keep digging until you’ve collected the necessary items.

Crafting Tinkering Parts

Once you’ve gathered the electrical components, return to Disney Dreamlight Valley and speak with Wally again. The next step is to craft tinkering parts at your crafting bench.

Navigate to the Refined Materials section at your crafting bench. To make tinkering parts, you’ll need iron ingots—specifically, 2 iron ingots per tinkering part. In total, you need to craft 12 tinkering parts, which requires 8 iron ingots.

Crafting the Repaired Machine

With your tinkering parts ready, you can now craft the repaired machine. Return to the Refined Materials section at your crafting bench and locate the recipe for the FO2937M3NO7 device.

This crafting recipe requires the following materials:

Electrical components (the broken ones you found)

Tinkering parts (the 12 you just crafted)

Once you have all the required materials, complete the craft to create the repaired machine.

Completing the Quest

The final step is to bring the repaired machine to Wally and give it to him. Locate Wally in the valley (you can use the map trick mentioned earlier if needed) and deliver the repaired device. Once Wally receives it, the Broken Memory quest will be complete!
