Starting the Quest with Olaf

Gathering Gifts for Villagers

The first task is to gather gifts for the villagers. You’ll need to collect the following items:

3 Salmon

4 Red Brumelades

White Passion Lilies

Blue Passion Lilies

Finding Red Brumelades

Red brumelades can be found in the Sunlit Plateau. Look for the red flowers as shown in the video.

Fishing for Salmon

Salmon can be fished in both the Frosted Heights and the Sunlit Plateau. They spawn in white ripples. If you need detailed information on how to find every individual fish, check out the fishing guide on the channel.

Locating Passion Lilies

Both white and blue passion lilies can be found in the Frosted Heights. White passion lilies are easier to spot, while blue passion lilies are rarer and may be harder to reach.

Pro Tip: Accessing Stuck Flowers

If you find flowers stuck behind rocks or in unreachable areas, try this helpful trick: go to your inventory, access furniture, grab the flower, and move it to a location where you can access it. This works perfectly for those blue lilies that might be blocked by terrain.

You’ll need 4 white passion lilies and 1 blue passion lily. If you’re having trouble with respawning, pick up all the flowers in the Frosted Valley so they’ll respawn shortly with a chance to be blue instead.

Giving Gifts to Villagers

Once you’ve gathered all the required items, return to Olaf and give him the items you’ve collected.

Delivering Gifts to Mother Gothel

Olaf will take the gifts and give one to Mother Gothel. As expected, she doesn’t appreciate it.

Delivering a Bouquet to Scar

Next, you’ll bring a bouquet of flowers to Scar on Olaf’s behalf. If you can’t find Scar, try opening the map and toggling it off and on again—villagers will generally appear near their homes.

Meeting Olaf at the Bridge

After giving the bouquet to Scar, meet Olaf at the bridge in the Sunlit Plateau.

When you meet Olaf, a memory will appear. Pick it up. Olaf will then realize what’s been missing from the village—he was the official village storyteller, and the valley needs a stage for him to tell stories.

Building the Stage

To complete the quest, you’ll need to build a stage for Olaf. Gather the following crafting materials:

Softwood (basic wood found everywhere)

Iron Ingots (obtained by mining iron ore and smelting it)

Rope (made from fiber, which is crafted from seaweed)

A Curtain (obtained from Mini)

Getting the Curtain from Mini

Talk to Mini to get a curtain for the stage.

Crafting Rope

Remember that rope is made from fiber, and fiber is made from seaweed. You’ll need 5 rope for the stage.

Crafting the Stage

Once you have all the materials, go to your crafting table and craft the stage. You’ll find the stage recipe in the furniture section.

Completing the Quest

Bring the finished stage to Olaf for his approval. Once he approves it, the “A Place for Joy” quest will be complete!
