Mount Olympus Quest Guide – Disney Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale

Welcome to this comprehensive guide for the Mount Olympus quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Storybook Vale. This is the final story quest in the Mithopia side of the Storybook Vale, and it will automatically start when you open the Mount Olympus area. Follow this guide to navigate through all the puzzles, collect vases, and complete this epic quest.

Entering Mount Olympus

To begin, head up to the gates of Mount Olympus. You’ll find the entrance at the top of the area. Once you reach the gates, interact with them to enter Mount Olympus. You’ll be greeted with the final trial.

First Trial: Collecting the First Two Vases

When you enter, talk to Hades. He will tell you to find two vases deep within Mount Olympus. Here’s how to locate them:

Vase One – Fishing

On the left-hand side of the first room, you’ll see a small pool. Equip your fishing rod and fish in this pool. This will lift up a section, allowing you to grab the first vase.

Vase Two – Mining

For the second vase, move to the right-hand side of this first room. Use your pickaxe to mine around the vase and collect it.

Opening the First Gates

With both vases in hand, interact with the pillars in the room and place the vases on top of them. This will open the gates. Continue walking forward and talk to Hades again.

Second Trial: Spinning Mechanisms and Bridges

After speaking with Hades, you’ll be able to spin a mechanism. Spin it, then move to the other platform and spin it again. This will allow you to come downstairs to the next area.

Collecting Vases Three and Four

You’ll need to find two more vases in this section:

Vase Three: Mine the stones blocking your path, then interact with the large block to move it out of the way. Use your net on the spinning mechanism, which can now turn freely.

Vase Four: Hit the spinning mechanism twice, cross the next bridge, use your water can on the platform ahead, and collect the second vase.

Once you’ve collected both vases, lower the bridge and walk across. Place the new vases on the pedestals to open the next gates.

Third Trial: The Net and Gate Mechanism

Follow Hades through to the next area and talk to him again. You’ll notice that a net is missing from the gate. To restore it:

Use your pickaxe to mine the rocks on the right-hand side

Fish in the small pool (similar to the start of the quest)

Pull up the net from the pool on the other side

Interact with the gate and place the net back in position

Pro Tip: When you burn away the rocks, you’ll collect volcanic rock as a bonus, which is otherwise difficult to obtain.

Fourth Trial: Blocks, Levers, and Bridges

After opening the gates, you’ll encounter a pushable block. Push it across the area to meet it on the other side. You’ll need this block to help you progress.

Mining and Lever Mechanics

Use your pickaxe to mine through the rocks, then pull the lever. The bridge will descend. Pull the lever back up to raise it again—you’ll need this bridge up later.

Talk to Hades, and he’ll open the gates downstairs for you. Go down and pick up the vase here, as you’ll need it later. Return upstairs and pull the lever again—this time it will lower properly.

Fifth Trial: Collecting Vases Five and Six

Continue exploring and you’ll find another vase on the upper level. To access it:

Go around the area and hit the turnstile to open the gates

Push the block into position

Go back upstairs, cross over, and mine your way through

Pick up the vase

Return downstairs through the next gate to Hades. Place both collected vases (vases five and six) on the pedestals to open the final gate.

Final Trial: Capturing the Demon Snippets

After placing the vases, Hades will lead you to the throne room where a demon snippet is waiting. You need to catch it. Run after the snippet as it zips around the throne room multiple times. Keep chasing and attempting to catch it—it will take several tries, but you’ll eventually succeed.

After catching the first snippet, two more demon snippets will appear. Continue running around and chasing them until you manage to catch both of them as well.

Quest Completion

Once you’ve caught all the demon snippets, talk to Hades one final time. This will complete the Mount Olympus quest and conclude the Mithopia side of the Storybook Vale.
