Unfinished Expedition Quest Guide in Once Human

This guide will walk you through completing the Unfinished Expedition quest in Once Human. You’ll need to collect records from three different locations and return them to Claire at Myers Market. Follow along as we break down each collection point step by step.

Evil Picture Collection Point

The first point you need to collect is located at the Evil Picture location. This puzzle requires you to line up two photographs to trigger a hidden door.

Start by positioning the photos so they align perfectly. You’ll notice that when you stand too far back, the picture on the right appears much smaller than the one on the left. Both images need to be the same size to register correctly.

Stand back as far as you can at the location. You may need to adjust your camera angle slightly. Keep clicking to interact with the space-time element repeatedly. When aligned correctly, you’ll see a flash of light appear.

Once the alignment is perfect, a door will suddenly appear. This is admittedly a quirky mechanic, but persist with the positioning until you succeed.

After the door opens, interact with the army records inside to collect your first item.

Computer Records at Wild Dog Isle Outpost

The second collection point is located at the Wild Dog Isle outpost, specifically in the top segment of the map. Head to the main building on the south side of the outpost—you can either enter through the front door or hop over the fence to reach it.

Once inside, proceed upstairs to access the computer terminal in the upper area.

At the computer, you’ll find records with a spinning circle puzzle. Your objective is to spin the circles so that they add up to seven. Click the buttons on the right side of the interface to rotate the circles into the correct positions. This is a straightforward puzzle that shouldn’t take long to solve.

Once solved, collect the second record from the computer.

Environmental Security Records on the Boat

The third and final collection point is located on a boat accessible from the outpost. Drive back out of the main base and head toward the water where you’ll see a small lighthouse-like structure.

Climb the ladder leading up the structure. Be prepared—this climb is a bit challenging, but it’s necessary to progress.

Once at the top, jump and glide toward the boat. This is the only way to access the boat from the structure, so make sure you have enough momentum from your glide.

After landing on the boat, locate and pick up the environmental security records at the top of the vessel.

Completing the Quest at Myers Market

With all three records collected, head to Myers Market to turn in your items. Swim toward the beach to reach the teleportation point that will take you directly to Myers Market.

Once at Myers Market, locate Claire. She is the NPC who gave you the quest and is the one you’ll return the records to.

Interact with Claire and select the option to hand the records back to her. Confirm your interest in the journal when prompted.

Quest Complete

Congratulations! You have successfully completed the Unfinished Expedition quest. The three collection points—the Evil Picture location, the computer puzzle at Wild Dog Isle outpost, and the environmental security records on the boat—are now all in your possession and returned to Claire.
